Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online is one of the absolute basics of internet marketing. Having articles all over the internet is a marketing method which enables you to invest some time and effort right now and reap the benefits for years to come. This article will explore some of the advantages of Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online and its subtleties in order to help internet marketers to use it to their best advantage.

Anyone who's been doing internet marketing for a while knows that writing articles is imperative to the success of one's online campaigns. Having articles in various article directories is a great way of providing links back to your site, thus building your site's popularity. When a page has many links back to it it helps to attain good positioning in the search engines. An article directory which has a high page rank is the best place to submit articles to as this helps to boost your page's rank.

Bear in mind that people take articles they enjoy and publish them in their ezines and on their websites, further providing you, the author, with more back links and publicity.

When you have articles of your own posted in article directories you can slowly establish your name as an expert in your niche. People will be more apt to trust your recommendations.

Although it may be tempting to write a bunch of articles in one day and submit them to a few directories, exercise caution with this. Why is that? Because Google is quite sensitive about a sudden surge in traffic to a link. Although we would all love a sudden surge in traffic, it may cause Google to de-index your site in order to look in to the reason for the sudden popularity of your site. It's better to submit articles every couple of days.

In the process of Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online, don't submit an article that is already on your own website. It may be considered duplicate content and you don't want that! Google would consider the site which is higher ranking to be the originator of the article (the article directory) and your site's page rank may suffer.

Don't submit PLR articles without making changes!! There is so much PLR available today (free and otherwise) and it is very tempting to just grab it and use it. Don't do it. The purpose of these articles is to provide you with a basis for an article. Read it and rewrite it in your own words. Duplicate articles could be rejected by the article directories and the directories may just decide to ban your account.

Try to use good keywords in your article's title and also in the beginning of the first paragraph. Sprinkle your chosen keyword all over the article as well.

Most article directories allow you to use hyperlinks. For sophisticated and efficient Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online try to use anchor text that relates to the keywords you are targeting. This will help you attain a better position in the SERP's (search engine result pages). If you are targeting the word "gardening tips" make sure to hyperlink to your website from each mention of the term in your article. This will help your gardening site be higher in the search results for the term "gardening tips".

Try to remember that people will be reading your article. Make it readable for them and don't just concentrate on the density of your keywords. If people don't enjoy reading the article, they won't bother reaching the end of it, which is where you will lead them to your site from the ever-important resource box!

In summary, Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online is a very important, even critical, element of internet marketing. Every internet marketer should be making the effort to become proficient in Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online and learning how to write decent quality articles in as little time as possible. It will bring in terrific long term results.

Happy writing!

Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online - Correlating Revenue To The Articles You Write

If you are involved in writing or using articles to establish your credentials to share skills and knowledge to a broader internet community, it may be time to pause for a while and to consider to what extent this activity of Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online is bringing in revenue to your online efforts. Just how is that done?

If you are involved in writing or using articles to establish your credentials to share skills and knowledge to a broader internet community, it may be time to pause for a while and to consider to what extent this activity of Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online is bringing in revenue to your online efforts.

While Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online is a function of many factors that may not lend itself to an exact computation of benefits in monetary terms, we cannot run away from the fact that when it comes to profitabilty of any online business, we have to think in terms of dollars and cents.

This is where statistics play a big part in correlating revenue to the articles we write.

Is it possible, for example, to project revenue to the number of articles we write, as there are factors peculiar only to the particular author that are not common to any other individual?

This is where the use of simple mathematics is helpful in our quest to correlate revenue to the articles we write.

Over a period of time of say 6 months, an author of various articles can actually keep a graph of revenue derived from article writing with the "y" axis as Revenue and the "x" axis of the graph as the number of articles written, each time keeping the number of article depositories to which the article was submitted at a constant figure.

In this particular case, say for example if you are marketing these articles to the article depositories such as ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com, your revenue that goes to the "y" axis is the payout derived from Google Adsense for the month by using solely Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online alone, and the "x" axis will be the number of articles you have submitted.

Over the period of 6 months, you will have sufficient data on the graph for which you can draw a best fit curve or applying the principles of linear regression to form a straight line that goes through most of these points on the graph where the line is represented by the equation y=mx+c

The function of the regressed straight line will indicate that the revenue derived is a function of "m" which is the gradient or slope of the line, and a constant "c".

The constant "c" is the value where the straight line cuts the "y" axis and this is the particular part which stems from the individual and is a representation of his abilities in writing, his style of writing, his command of the language and factors that only the individual possesses.

By doing a correlation study between the revenue obtained and the number of articles submitted in Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online, keeping other factors constant as far as possible, it will be possible to gauge the quality of the author's writing. It will also be possible to form a rough basis to project further revenue to the number of articles planned for submission, ignoring other factors such as keyword selection, onsite and offsite search engine optimisation which are not included in the study, and only on the basis of the individual writing "flair" and abilities as measured by the constant "c".

While this is by no means exact and is an approximation, keeping statistics and charts like these serves a useful function in helping the marketer to identify sudden trend changes, especially where performance or revenue suddenly falls from the norm ( or the mean ).

He can then study what has led to this deviation from the mean and why. Charting these details will make any change very apparent which may be missed otherwise.

While it is common for an internet marketer to use software scripts to track his earnings from Google Adsense, for example, most scripts do not lend themselves to this particular graphical analysis as explained. It is when the charting is done by hand, albeit in such a simple way, that the internet marketer is sensitive enough and alert to any sudden changes or is able to consider what factor to change in his article writing to derive more revenue.

He can go deeper to ask this question: " Since the revenue is directly proportional to the slope of the revenue line, what factors will change the slope?".

Knowing these factors, he can vary them and test out his changes.

By correlating revenue to the number of articles written, the internet marketer has a way to project profitability, no matter how rough. He has on his hands a set of statistics that he can use for further research and analysis, or in marketing terms "testing".

Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, Content  arketing & Online: Dress Up Your Own Site

Article directories provide a great service to prolific authors. Still, there are rules and regulations you must follow in order to have your articles served up. In addition to marketing through directories, it is paramount for you to have your own site. Matt shares details with you on how he achieved a high performing site by following a few simple tips. You can too!

Article directories are a great way to submit high quality articles, have webmasters pick them up, and for you to reap great back links to your site. Still, all directories have restrictions and these restrictions can limit the number of quality links you put within the body of your article or strip them out entirely. If you run your own site, these rules have no bearing on how you manage your site. The following are some strategies I have employed that not only have given my site a Google page rank of 6, but have helped me to maximize my articles’ exposure on the internet.

<b>Lots of links.</b> My articles have a similar resource box to those found on article directories, but I don’t stop there. Within the body of an article, I frequently add additional links, sometimes lots of links to other sites. They don’t have to be to sites I run, but to other <u>high quality</u> sites. If I am writing an article about Ford cars, you better believe it that I have links to pages for the Ford Mustang, to the Explorer, and any other vehicles I mention. Google seems to like these types of pages as some of my articles are getting ranked high too. One article already pulled down a page rank of 4!

<b>Add pictures.</b> <i>A picture speaks a thousand words…</i> A picture can help your article look more professional. I also will use a company logo, if I have express permission. With some of my links and pictures I will hyperlink them to other pages on my site or to other sites altogether.

<b>Welcome the robots.</b> I mentioned in another article that <i>Googlebot</i> is my friend. Do everything possible to keep your site crisp, clean, and clear and toss out anything that looks <u>spammy</u>. Most of my articles also have the requisite AdSense ads on them in part for me to make income, but also to tell me if the ads served up are related to the article I wrote. Almost without exception they are, but you need to check back to verify.

So, why go through all this trouble? Hopefully, to bring in additional business for yourself. Most of the work that I get is directly from my site, which I only set up on May 31, 2005! Not a bad track record, don’t you agree? If I can do it, you can do it too! What are you waiting for? Get started today.
