Bobby Who?

Well, heard of Poker Bobby? No? Then it’s time to read this. Poker Bobby is not your guy next door. It’s a money earning bot that whips your poker online opponents. A software, that’s right. The software knows all the tricks and keeps them under wraps. When it gets to a squeeze, out comes a brilliant ruse. It is 100% automated, and easy to install on your computer. Activate the game and watch your money roll in. Sounds unbelievable? Fortunately it’s true. Aren’t you a lucky guy?

Which Bobby?

This Bobby was engineered by James Williamson with poker buff Gary Hewitt. It has all the strategies coded into it. This Bobby does all the dirty work and does not give away any telltale body language – it checks, bets, and holds. You can sit back and cheer on this bot. There are reports that this Bobby rakes in $300 dollars in a week. Sometimes this crafty bot gives you a $3000 win a week.

Bobby knows all the highest hand of the game. It can come up with a Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four-of-a-kind, Full House, Flush, and three-of-a-kind – just to mention a few. Of course, this software will need your manipulation in several instances.

Bobby leaves no footprints

Your opponents will not know they are playing against a bot. It cannot be traced by even the most nosey software. Poker Bobby leaves no clue of its identity, and even changes its playing style. Ordinary bots keep on playing the same kind of game. This mechanical style alerts other players. Cheat detectors immediately go for the kill. Not with this Bobby.

Of course, since it has to appear like a real player, it has to lose some games. Win some, lose win. That’s how this Bobby plays. But Bobby here has its weaknesses too. Its strength will depend on how you manipulate the software. When Bobby is distressed, you got to do the tricks to keep him going. Poker Bobby is just a bot and has no imagination. It can’t read body language nor can it size up the opponent’s next strategy.

Bobby Blues

Though it cannot guess the next move, it can latch on the playing trend; then it rides on the game. It will demand your patience and wits to help it going. But of course, it will earn you some much needed cash. No doubt about it.

However, there are complaints that Bobby is a fraud. Since there are so many Bobby’s out there, it is best to be forewarned. Some claim that this Bobby cannot even rake $75. Since it runs on programmed intelligence, there is always a catch somewhere.

But what makes Poker Bobby, the real Bobby?

Simple. It plays a skillful hand on percentages, can outwit covert surveillance, switches game plan, and does not leave a virtual clue! This is what makes it the real Bobby. It can play hard and simple game plays.

Poker KISS - Pot Equity!

Whenever players are ahead in a hand, they think that it’s their right to win. After a session, they’ll often report their results as follows: “I was down $200, but I really should be up $500 because of the bad beats I took.” Unfortunately, this thinking is misleading, because it fails to take into account the very real probability of losing the hand. Remember, poker is a game of giving yourself in edges, and very rarely are those edges absolutes.

(But as long as you are actually giving yourself edges, you will come out ahead in the proverbial long-run)

What is Pot Equity?

Pot equity is the percentage of the pot you expect to win in the long run. If you subtract your investment in a pot from your pot equity, then pot equity becomes just another way of expressing expected value. But having many ways of thinking about expected value is helpful both for understanding it and calculating it easily.

Suppose you’re playing in a no-limit hold’em game with blinds of $1 and $2. One opponent limps, you raise to $10 with AA, and someone behind you goes all-in to $50. The blinds fold as well as the initial preflop limper. You call, and you find that your A♥A♦ is facing K♦K♠ for a $105 pot (let’s assume $2 rake, meaning that the pot is actually $103). You’ll win about 81.71% of the time and tie about .46% of the time. Your equity is (.8194)($103) = $83.90. The percentage, .8194, is obtained by taking your winning percentage and adding half of your tying percentage (because when you tie, you only get half of the pot).

Short Term Variance; Long-Term Results

Your goal is poker is to make decisions yielding a positive expected value. Another way of saying this is that you need to think of the process rather than the results, and you need to think of the process in an honest light.

If you think of your results in terms of “should haves,” you’re in the habit of overestimating your expected profit, and if you overestimate your profit, you’ll seldom reach your expectations every session, meaning that poker will be a very frustrating experience for you–one of the worst feelings in life is repeatedly failing to match expectations. Instead of thinking in terms of “should haves,” begin thinking about your poker in terms of pot equity. At the end of the day, you’ll be a much more sane, and a much more happier player, and a much more analytic player. Poker is supposed to be fun, so respect and enjoy the process!

Poker Life: Playing On Tilt

This is one of the most amazing aspects of poker and life at the same time. There are many ways to tilt. We all must know how to, or at least we have all witnessed the devastating effect of tilt in its true meaning. It can be a wonderful thing to see, when a player throws money at everyone. But I’m sure most of us don’t go over the limit that much.

poker tilt

This is one of the most amazing aspects of poker and life at the same time. There are many ways to tilt. We all must know how to, or at least we have all witnessed the devastating effect of tilt in its true meaning. It can be a wonderful thing to see, when a player throws money at everyone. But I’m sure most of us don’t go over the limit that much.

Usually, poker players think they can’t be influenced by the tilt. And it is true, some really aren’t. But most are, at least at some points; in some situations they can become vulnerable and this is only human.

The most dangerous form of tilting is the semi-hidden tilt. It is partially hidden because it is not a genuine tilt, it just tends to be one. It is a subtle manner to it, one that progresses slowly, one step at a time. This is the way someone can place you under the influence of tilt for hours and you can’t even realize what is happening. You will realize it at some point far away from the beginning of the procedure, and we will try to take measures. But unfortunately you lost a lot of money before you realized that you are gradually advancing to tilt.

So, analyze your game and see if you have been ever tilted or if you usually tend to be. And if the answer is yes here’s what you can do: you can count it as just another bad part of your game and try to eradicate it. A definition for tilt would be something that would sound like this: poor reasoning when playing hands as the effect of a bad poker night. This is the classic tilt. But the semi-hidden tilt is different. This one can appear because of simple boredom or because you have allowed your self to lower your poker standards and match your opponents’ ones. The thing you should do in this case is to always play your best and never be influenced by the tilt process.

So, from now on you will have to monitor you game and make sure you are taking the best decisions. The best thing you can do is to imagine yourself in a very important game. Imagine that everyone else besides you opponents can see your cards and therefore everyone can judge you. For example imagine your game is transmitted life on some TV channels. And if you make mistaken, everyone will know and they will al tell you every time they meet you, they will criticize your game or even laugh at it. So this way you have to play in a manner that would make experts value your game.

Being ashamed is the thing we all fear. So just try to play and feel proud of the way you are playing. This is one way to avoid tilting.
