Manda Bay In Kenya Would Make An Extraordinary All Inclusive Family Holiday, Vacation & Tour Package

All inclusive Family Holiday, Vacation & Tour Packages and Luxury Holidays don’t somehow lie easily together. Most people’s vision of an all inclusive package is one of a large somewhat garish 21st Century all singing all dancing hotel containing lots of people you wouldn’t want to be with.

What we have here is somewhat different.

Manda Bay is a small, very intimate, luxury resort set on an island close to Lamu on the Indian Ocean in North East Kenya. It only has sixteen spacious and secluded bandas, so even with this limited information, it is quite obviously a totally different prospect to the gin palace of nightmares.

If in your opinion all inclusive means big, and that means beautiful, then read no further because Manda Bay is the stuff that dreams are made of, but families who make this choice need to be aware that this is laid back luxury, but whilst there is plenty to do, there are no discos, night clubs, but rather peace, tranquillity and great unspoilt natural beauty. Best of all if this is your idea of heaven, then you will find the other guests are very much like you!!

The great thing about Manda Bay is not only its idyllic situation, nor the fact it is undoubtedly a luxury resort for a luxury Holiday, Vacation & Tour, yet perfect for an all inclusive family Holiday, Vacation & Tour package, but it is still an ideal destination as part of a romantic honeymoon package. Quite probably one of the top places to book into at the end of a Kenya Safari Tour, when you want a bit of spoiling!!

Manda Bay lies on a long palm fringed beach at the northwest of Manda Island, it is very private, very secluded but close enough to Lamu town to visit and enjoy.

There is a central dining room, bar and separate lounge area all locally furnished with sofas and large cushions. You can take the hotel’s dhow outh for sundowners or for a two or three day romantic hire to cruise the uninhabited islands around the Lamu Archipelago.

When it comes to daily activities the complimentary water sports included windsurfing, laser sailing, snorkelling and kayaking. Dolphins and turtles are frequent visitors, and even the occasional humpback whale.

There are two ski boats skis, a kite surfer, banana boats, tubes and wake boards. There is deep sea fishing and saltwater fly fishing plus several skiffs for creek fishing on offer as well For the energetic, there are walking and cycling excursions, but perhaps a bit of real pampering is what you need, so a massage is a great option.

You will be fed extremely well with great emphasis on fresh fish, seafood, such as fresh tuna, mangrove crab, and prawns.

Breakfast is fairly casual, with no real set time. There is a fresh fruit buffet, home made cereals, yoghurt, and if required a full English breakfast.

Lunch is buffet style either by the pool, in the dining room, or on the 60 foot sailing Jahazi.

The culmination is a three course dinner either in the dining room, or normally outside under the stars.

Manda Bay makes an ideal escape from 21st century life whether you want to go there as part of an all inclusive family package or this is your choice of luxury resort as part of a romantic honeymoon package.

Simba tours safari in Kenya is offered in several of the country’s wildlife parks. Most famous is the Maasai Mara game reserve where sightings of the African lion are guaranteed-the same way the sun will rise in the morning and set in the evening. Other Simba tours safari parks in Kenya famous for their African lion populations include the Tsavo, Amboseli, Nairobi, Nakuru and Meru safari Parks. With a little effort and your diver guide’s acumen, you will be able to spot a pride in each of these Simba tours safari land parks.

1. Simba tours safari of Maasai Mara

Maasai Mara game reserve is said to host over 10 prides of lions if not more. The African lion in Maasai Mara is famous for its black mane. The mane will usually be golden in the African lion’s youth turning to black as it advances in age. The lions of the Mara will be heard roaring next to your camp where they have marked territories and location.

The prides usually occupy one territory (which might be next to your lodge) and it’s guaranteed that they will always be in those environs every day. The Maasai Mara Simba tours safari land park is rife with succession battles between male lions. The dominant male is constantly fending off other challenging males. The male will in most cases be heavily scarred on the face as a result of battles fought and won before.

The Simba tours safari in the Mara will find you in the middle of a pride that wants to use your car for shade. They will sprawl underneath and besides your vehicle for hours ignoring your presence. By and large, the Maasai Mara African lion is to an extent used to humans, but that’s not to mean they are any less dangerous. So take no chances.

2. The Simba tours safari of Tsavo safari park

The lions of Tsavo East especially, are the most dreaded, and were upon which the movie “the ghost and the darkness” was based. The lions of Tsavo killed hundreds of railway workers and at one point halted the construction of the East African railway line in 1890’s. They came to be known as the “man eaters of Tsavo”

The lions here are the most feared and un-habituated due to their limited contact with humans. They are equally harder to locate but more due to the expansive nature of the park. Your tour driver guide in most cases will most certainly know how to locate a pride since they are familiar with their territories.

3. Simba tours safari in Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National park is the only wildlife park in the world within capital city boundaries. It is therefore easily accessible and a show case of what other country based lion safari parks have to offer. The African lion prides of Nairobi national park are fewer due to the relative size of the park. They can however be heard at early mornings and late evenings roaring away. It is always an exciting experience in your Simba tours safari to see the elusive lions in this park before proceeding to the major national parks in Kenya.

4. Lions of Meru National Park

The Meru National park easily holds the number one position of the most remote wilderness areas in the country. The wildlife here, unlike other parks is very aggressive and un-habituated. The African lions of Meru National park compare to those of Tsavo and are as such the most feared. Meru national park however is a darling for tourists in search of virgin natural places in their Simba tours safari photo hunt.

5. Lions of L. Nakuru National park

Lake Nakuru national park is the most visited park in Kenya. The park is also located 2½ from Nairobi and within the Nakuru town and is host to Lake Nakuru, an important Ramsar site. (An Important water-body equivalent to a UNESCO’s heritage site). The park is famous for the millions of the pink coloured flamingo that ring the sides of the lake like one large pink bracelet.

The African lion park prides are easily found and are located in a particular area called the lion hill. L. Nakuru is a very famous park since it also hosts the Black and White African Rhino. The white Rhino populations in the park have improved tremendously and are touted as a resounding success of the rhino breeding programme by the Kenya Wildlife Service.

Let your operator advice you on your itinerary to maximize your Simba tours safari experience in Kenya. For sure you will see enough African lions and more of the big five game here. That’s not a fact it’s a promise. Enjoy!

Why You Shouldn’t Necessarily Visit Kenya In August

Everybody who thinks they know what they are talking about will tell you the best time to visit Kenya is between July and September. The reasons for this are firstly that the wildebeest in their hundreds of thousands are arriving from the Serengeti.

Kenya Holiday, Vacation & Tour, when to visit kenya, holiday in kenya

Everybody who thinks they know what they are talking about will tell you the best time to visit Kenya is between July and September. The reasons for this are firstly that the wildebeest in their hundreds of thousands are arriving from the Serengeti.

This has the very unfortunate side effect of dramatically increasing the number of tourists in the region, and places like the Masai Mara are inundated with them, and this means two things to the prospective tourist.

The first thing is that prices go through the ceiling, and secondly when your minibus driver takes you to see the wildebeest crossing a river, you will be one of dozens of vehicles full to the brim with tourists, all watching the same animals. This is not my idea of a safari,in fact it is my idea of hell, because I want to be alone with my family in a vehicle, and alone with the animals.

The other time the experts tell you to avoid is between March and June, which is the time of the long rains, and November, which is the time of the short rains.

November may just be the best time to visit Kenya, and go in the first two weeks, because the prices are much less, the tourists have departed, and it is now the wildebeest begin their long march back to the Serengeti, and the sight of miles and miles of them is something you will never forget..

Tropical rain is extraordinary in itself with torrential rain, and the most incredible electrical storms, but not solid rain, just heavy showers of up to a few hours. You now see the golden brown colours in the Masai Mara beginning to go green again, and the speed of the transformation is incredible.

So ignore the wise pundits, and go to Kenya in early November for a much less expensive Holiday, Vacation & Tour.
